About Kindred Credit Union

Kindred Credit Union is an Ontario credit union founded on March 21, 1964 in Kitchener by 22 Mennonites as the Waterloo County Mennonite Credit Union, rooted in Anabaptist principles of mutual aid and stewardship. Renamed Kindred in 2016, it opened membership beyond Mennonite, Amish, and Be In Christ church communities in 2010 and now operates eight branches across southern Ontario as one of the province's larger credit unions, with a values-based banking focus.
