About President's Choice Bank
President's Choice Financial (PC Financial) is the financial services brand of Loblaw Companies, delivered through its federally chartered subsidiary President's Choice Bank; the brand launched in 1996, originally as a joint venture with CIBC, which ended in 2017. It offers the PC Money Account, PC Mastercard credit cards, and insurance, integrated with the PC Optimum loyalty program. In December 2025, Equitable Bank (EQB) announced a definitive agreement to acquire PC Financial (including President's Choice Bank) from Loblaw for about $800 million; the deal was still pending as of mid-2026.
